To make the internet work more efficiently for you, browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Explorer,etc.) use "caching." Caching simply means that the browser downloads files and saves them to your computer so the next time you view that page, it loads quickly because some of those files are already on your computer. Unfortunately, depending on your browser, it may not detect that a file has changed and needs to be downloaded again. Clearing the cache and cookies (placeholders your browser saves to help get you to your sites faster) forces your browser to download the latest files.


Below are instructions and screenshots to walk you through clearing your cache and cookies for just the riogrande.com site. Just select your browser to go to that section.

If you are using Windows Chrome:

At the top right side of your browser is a menu icon consisting of three dots. Click on it to pull the menu down, then select "Settings."

Scroll down to Content settings and select that.

Scroll down to "Cookies" and select that.

In the search bar on the right side of the browser window, type in "riogrande.com" and click on the small trash can to the right of each riogrande.com entry. This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.





If you are using Windows Firefox:


At the top right side of your browser is a menu icon consisting of three lines. Click on it to pull the menu down, then select "Options."


Now select the "Privacy" tab (about halfway down the dark menu on the left side). Under the "History" heading, select the "remove individual cookies" link.

Type "riogrande.com" into the search bar. From here you can select individual cookies (or multiples) and then press the Remove Selected button. This will delete only your riogrande.com cookies.



Windows IE (Explorer) or Edge:

At the top right side of your browser is a star icon. Click on the star, then select the "History" tab. Select the "View By Site" option from the drop-down menu and scroll to "riogrande." Right-click on that and select "Delete."


This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.



If you are using iOS Safari:

You will find the settings you need in your Settings app rather than inside the Safari app. Open "Settings" and then scroll down to "Safari" and select that.

Scroll down to "Advanced" and select that.


Then select "Website Data."

Use the search bar to search for riogrande.com.

Place your finger on the entry for riogrande.com, and slide your finger from right to left to pull up the "Delete" button. Then press the "Delete" button.

This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.



If you are using iOS Chrome:

*NOTE: iOS Chrome cannot delete only the cache and cookies from a single site. These instructions will clear the cache and cookies for ALL websites you have visited. This can log you out of sites that require a login and delete your preferences for those sites. BE AWARE OF THIS AND USE WITH CAUTION.


At the top right side of your browser is a menu icon consisting of three dots. Tap on this to pull the menu down, then select "Settings."

Select "Privacy."


Then select "Clear Browsing Data."

Select "Cookies," "Site Data" and "Cached Images and Files." Then select "Clear Browsing Data" at the bottom of the list. Remember, this will clear the data for ALL websites, not just riogrande.com.






If you are using Android Chrome:

At the top right side of your browser is a menu icon consisting of three dots. Tap to pull the menu down and select "Settings."

Scroll down and select Site settings. Select All sites. Then, in the search bar, start typing "riogrande.com"

Touch the Rio site when it appears, then select "Clear & Reset."

Confirm your selection. This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.




If you are using Mac Safari:

At the upper left of your desktop screen, select the "Safari" menu, then select "Preferences." 

Select the "Privacy" tab. About halfway down on that tab, select the "Details" button.


At the upper right of the "Details" window, type "riogrande.com" in the search bar.


Click once on the "riogrande.com" item to select it, then click on the "Remove All" button in the lower left. This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.



If you are using Mac Chrome:

At the upper left of your desktop screen, select the "Chrome" menu, then select "Preferences." 



At the bottom of the "Preferences" window, select the "Advanced link."


From here, select the "Content Settings" section (near the bottom on the page).


Then select the "Cookies" section.


On the upper right side of that window, type riogrande.com in the search bar.

Select the trashcan next to riogrande.com. This will delete only your riogrande.com cache and cookies.



If you are using Mac Firefox:

At the top right side of your browser is a menu icon consisting of three lines. Click on it to pull the menu down and select "Preferences."
